A Special Surprise for Susan Grayland: A Gift of Comfort and Joy

At Christchurch Health Centre, the incredible team is always looking out for the well-being of those they care for. When Amanda Baker, the care home manager, reached out to Pollard’s Promises, she shared the story of Susan Grayland, a resident whose life revolves around the simple pleasures of watching television and chatting with her carers.

Susan, who lives with Alzheimer's and has limited mobility, spends most of her time in her bedroom. Her television, which provided her with companionship and entertainment, was in poor condition, making it difficult for her to enjoy the one activity that brought her joy. Understanding the importance of quality of life, we knew this was a wish we had to grant.

To brighten Susan’s days, we gifted her a brand-new 40-inch television, ensuring she could continue watching her favourite shows in comfort. Her reaction was heartwarming:

She is so happy with this. I want to thank your company for all you do for those who deserve it.

We are so pleased to have made a difference in Susan’s life, and we hope her new TV brings her endless joy.
