At Pollard’s Promises, we are privileged to honour incredible individuals, and today, we celebrate a truly remarkable milestone—Anneliese’s 100th birthday! 🎉
Anneliese was born in Germany and endured the hardships of war, being evacuated to Denmark with her mother to survive. After the war, fate led her to meet her husband, a British soldier, and she bravely moved to Merthyr Tydfil to start a new chapter of her life. Adjusting to a new country immediately after the war was no small feat, but Anneliese embraced it with strength and grace, making lifelong friends and raising her only daughter, Barbara, who went on to become a successful university lecturer.
Now a much-loved resident at Garnant House Residential Care Home, Anneliese is cherished by both staff and fellow residents. She has been part of the Garnant House family for nearly two years, and her warmth, kindness, and incredible life story inspire everyone around her.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, Pollard’s Promises was delighted to present Anneliese with a special birthday hamper. The joy on her face as she received the gift was truly heartwarming. The team at Garnant House shared their gratitude, saying:
“Please find attached a few photos from Garnant House with Anneliese enjoying her 100th birthday hamper, which she wanted to pass on a big thank you for. We would also like to send our sincere thanks for the wonderful gift on Anneliese’s special occasion.”
Anneliese’s journey is a testament to resilience, love, and new beginnings. We are honoured to have played a small part in making her 100th birthday even more special.
