At Pollard’s Promises, we take great pride in recognising individuals who consistently go above and beyond in their roles. This time, we’re shining a spotlight on Tina Fenty, the head of housekeeping at Deeside Care Home. Nominated by Anna Hoffmann, Tina has proven time and time again that her dedication to the residents, her colleagues, and the overall care environment is unparalleled.
Tina has been an integral part of Deeside Care Home, where she makes a lasting impact on everyone around her. Her role as head of housekeeping is not just about maintaining cleanliness; it’s about creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for the residents. Tina’s meticulous attention to detail ensures that the home is not just clean but feels like a true home to the people who live there.
Tina’s devotion extends far beyond her official duties. She’s known to pitch in wherever needed, whether it’s assisting with a shower, helping out on the floor, serving cocktails during happy hour, or driving the minibus during outings. No task is too small or too big for Tina, and she tackles every job with a smile, no matter the challenge.
Her colleagues, residents, and their families are all quick to praise her for her positive attitude and willingness to lend a helping hand. Tina’s upbeat personality is a source of light for the Deeside Care Home community. She is a true team player who makes the workplace a better, brighter place, and it’s no surprise that she is loved by all.
In the past year, Tina has faced personal challenges, but rather than let them hold her back, she came back stronger and even more determined. Her resilience has not only inspired her colleagues but also demonstrated her unwavering commitment to her work and the people she cares for.
Tina’s hard work has not gone unnoticed. She is frequently complimented by both residents and their families for her work, and one recent comment says it all: “She does a nice job of keeping my home clean, but most importantly, I trust her.”
Her trustworthiness and natural ability to carry out her work with care and attention make her a stand-out member of the Deeside team. She continuously strives to improve herself, ensuring that the care home remains a safe, welcoming, and clean space for everyone.
Tina’s exceptional standards of cleanliness and her adherence to Infection Prevention Control (IPC) guidelines have earned her praise from assurance team visits, and visitors consistently note the pristine state of the care home. Deeside Care Home has even received compliments for its cleanliness, with many remarking that it’s the cleanest and freshest-smelling care home they’ve ever seen – a true testament to Tina’s dedication.
Recently, Tina’s attention to detail was recognised during a health and safety audit, where she was praised for her documentation, including the implementation of risk assessments within her department.
To show our appreciation for Tina’s extraordinary efforts, Pollard’s Promises gifted her a 4ft Elephant Toy, a nod to her love for elephants. This thoughtful surprise was the perfect way to acknowledge all that she does for the residents, the team, and the care home.
As Anna Hoffmann, the Home Manager at Deeside, so perfectly put it: “I trust Tina 100%, knowing that the housekeeping department is running smoothly.” Tina’s presence at Deeside is invaluable, and we are incredibly lucky to have her as part of the team.
Tina’s warmth, dedication, and enthusiasm are what make her not only an exceptional housekeeper but a truly wonderful person. We are so glad to be able to recognise her through Pollard’s Promises, and we look forward to seeing her continue to shine.
Tina’s gratitude shines through in her own words:
